I sent my brother in-law down to the dealership to pickup a NCVQ Needle and some jets so we could jet his 07' YFZ450 and they told him the highest they show is a NCVT. Will this work or do I need to call down there and try to get the right one ordered. The NCVT is a Needle for the 04' YZ450F also.

hmm.. never heard of the NCVT needle. I just asked for the NCVQ needle... You might want to call down there, and make sure its the right one from the YZF.

Dont know you elevation but i am at 3000ft and i run 48 pilot and a 165 main with full exhaust, K&N and cam mod on my 06, just to give you a starting point

I called and got the right one ordered. What I am going to jet at is 45P - 168M - NCVQ Needle 4th slot. I am at 5,-5,500' and it has been in the 40's.

if you are looking to dial in your carb look into the f2 racing powerback kit. i got one on my 07. it comes with a few jets, needle, magnetic oil and timing plugs in black, blue or red powdercoat, and instructions on the carb work. it also shows how to drill out your stock exhaust and how to do the "cam mod". it destroys that F'in bog. www.f2racing.net/Yamaha-YFZ450-2006...Kit-p/dkyfz.htm

dus that powerback kit get rid of all the boggggg and laggggg or what ??

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

it works great on my 07.

Posted by: chases

is it hard to put it inn

Posted by: Colby@C&DRacing

We sell the F2 jet kit it is designed to get rid of the never ending bog on the 07 yfz

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

how much are you selling it for? mine was $150

Posted by: chases

should i buy ittttt ???

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

yeah it works great, the fuel screw is better than others i have tried. it doesn't shake out of adjustment at all. plus you would be surprised at the amount of shavings the magnetic plugs get out of your engine's motion lotion

Posted by: chases

how hard is it to put in and youse

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

the carb work isnt to bad if you know what your doing. the instructions are great + photos. the thing that takes the longest is the "cam mod" but it explains it. all together with changing oil and putting in the plugs, cam mod,and carb work, maybe 4-5 hours or so.

Posted by: chases

you have to do cam work with it toooooooo

that would scars meeee

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

no, it shows you how to do it if you want(i would if i were you). if your planning on doing it sometime i would do it with those instructions though, there great.

Posted by: chases

can you maby get me some pics of your 450 with them on there??

and i am going to get itttt if i have a prolbm could you maby help me out

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

if you do it and dont like it(but you will) put it back, no big deal.

Posted by: chases

the cam mod gives you more power right

Posted by: low10s

on mine the cam mod made the midrange hit a little harder and it revved on the top better and quicker.

Posted by: #17YFZRACER

the power hits harder, mostly mid to top end. if you get the kit and have problems i can try to help but probably no better than the instructions, its all strait forward
