Does anybody know the best way to lower a YFZ for ice racing. I would rather find front shocks off of another bike to put on it than the lowering linkages. How are your guys bikes set up?? Thanks for any help

Doesnt anybody ice race on here ?? I was looking at all the old posts from the beggining of last year and any posts about anything to do with winter there was no replies for. I am up in Da UP of michigan so up here its iether ice race your bike or park it for 6 months Anybody have any inputs???????

We only did one arena ice race a couple of years ago. We just pulled our shocks down as far as we could get them and tied them down. I wouldn't want to do that for like a series of races, but for one night, it worked out fine. I don't know what the guys used that done ice racing on a regular basis.

you could try blaster shocks

Hey thanks i forgot about the blaster and there shocks are about 14 inches wich would be perfect for my bike to be lowered

That's what usually works best. Use ratchet tie down straps to compress the shocks.

Me and my buddies have tried that but going into corners you get a lot of hopping in the rear end and ive heard from a lot of people that it will ruin your front shocks

I just put the front and rear lowering kits on my 06 yfz. I don't have any problems with them. They are pretty cheap and look good and are actually pretty strong. If you need any pics of my quad with them on it let me know.

They dropped my bike 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 inches. Its not much but made a big differance.
