Ok im really new here and to riding. I have a ltr450 and getting ready to head to little sahara here in ok. What sand tires give me the best bang for the buck and where should i get them. My local dealer had a set(rims and tires) front and back for $650 and im thinking thats just a little pricey for a second set of tires and rims.

ya 650 is a little pricey. i dont know what sand tires to run but go with douglass blue lable rims. i got mine out of motosport catolauge (sp) for like 35$ per rim.

you could use a douglas .125 or if you want something stronger the sedona rims are a good choice they have a rolled edge and are .190 thick.

sand stars work fine, im sure not as good as higher end ones but for 200 (tire and rim) they work fine
