Hello folks, just joined and first post.I would like opinions/advice on possibly mounting a winch on a stock 04 Recon. Thanks.

I've got the Superwinch T2000 mounted on my wifes 04 Recon. I used the Moose mount kit from DK and like it very much. The only wimpy thing about the kit is the roller fairlead mounting. It's not going anywhere but it looks cheesy.

I love the looks she gets when we're on the trail and she pulls up to a bigger machine in a mud hole to pull it out. She just parks the front against a tree or ties off and starts winching away!

We also mounted a Tusk snow plow to it from RMATV and used the winch for the lift system. Works pretty good with the tire chains on.

Just thought I would let you know that thanks you and the info and pics, installing the winch on my Recon was a piece a cake! The way you mounted the winch looks SO MUCH better than the others I have recently seen mounted on the front rack.Thanks again, ride safe, Jim
