Ok, I know there are several CDI boxes available, but don't know if one is a better choice than the others. Anyone care to give input on which CDI to go with?

Also is there an aftermarket/higher performance coil for the 500 outlaw?

There are a few companies out there that make different CDIs for the fuji engine. The problem is that most of them create problems with the idle of the engine which in turn causes problems with the one way bearing.
