How the heck do ya change the oil in a ltr 450?? why does it have 3 drain plugs and how do u know how much oil is in the bottom end??? does it have a check bolt and if so then were?

ok here ya go, there is a drain bolt on the bottom of the resevoir tank and then there are two bolt on the bottom of the motor that you take out and let the oil drain out of them, dont do anything to the three allen screws. No it doesnt have a check bolt for the oil in the bottom end. When you put oil back in you put the oil in the resevoir and then unscrew the filler cap on the clutch cover and put oil in that.

why can ya not mess with the allen screws? cause my motor does not have any bolts on the botom to drain the oil, except for the tank so i took the allens out to drain the oil!!

you can mess with the allens that wont hurt anything its just easier taking the two bolts out. There should be two bolts right on the bottom of your motor, they look like they hold the cases together also. They are there, just look lol
