Well, I got just about everything done and put back together last night and guess what??? It ran.
I got a new coil, rewired basically everything, got a new petcock (with just on/off/res.), cleaned the carb, re-painted the frame & plastic, cleaned & lubed the chain, got a new in-line fuel filter, a new spark plug, and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting.
After a couple of minutes of cranking it fired up and ran great. Just what the neighbors needed last night at 9:30-10:00
Anyway, here's a couple pics of the almost finished product (gotta still re-paint the wheels and do a little touch-ups):

Thanks everyone.
Even though it was more of a project than I wanted, it was fun.
Went yesterday to the local Suzuki dealer and bought a bunch of riding safety gear. They had a ton of stuff on clearance.
I spent just over a $100 and got a new helmet, goggles, gloves, riding pants and a jersey.

You got one heck of a deal if you got all that for just over 100 bucks.

Tell me about, the helmet was 1/2 off, the pants were regularly $70.00 on sale for $20.00, the jersey was $10.00, the gloves were marked down to $2.00 from $20.00 and the goggles were $30.00.
For anyone in the area, it was at Ride Now in Longwood. All of their Fox youth pants and jerseys were marked down to $20.00 & $10.00. I guess they're trying to make room for the new designs.
