which kind of cam would be the best to make MX? Hotcams and webcams interesser that to think you?

My english is not verry good.

Thanks you

Posted by: jfarrar30

depends on what other mods you plan on doing to your motor.like piston, porting or leaving it stock

for mx, i have hmf sport sere exhaust, JE 12.8:1 and ported head.

Web cams have not been released yet, but to get them it is about $700

hot cams will work well almost as good

On a different forum they did a cam dyno shoot out with stock LTR's with just basic mods like pipe CRBM, no airbox lid. And Just using the Hot Cams Intake cam only made the most power, and had one of the smoothest power curves. DASA cams where #2

just the intake camwood and why not for exhaust

Posted by: davetheslave

The exhaust cam just didnt make power. From what I've heard the exhaust cam makes the same power, but actually makes you loose power on the bottom end. The ezxhaust cam woud help if you had internal mods I imagine

Posted by: DEVINF450R

such as high compression piston and port and polish??

Posted by: davetheslave

yea

Posted by: DEVINF450R

well I guess I am gonna get the intake first then... I am not sure wheather to get the stage I or stage II for mx... I had the stage II in my Honda but....

The crower intake cam made the most usable power in the cam shootout.
