i went riding over thanksgiving weekend and wrecked one of my uncles quads (2006 kfx 400) end over end down a hill

so it worked out that i would keep the one that i wrecked and get him a new one the frame was bent where the tubes come together in the front the axle was bent the brake disk was bent the plastic in the front and back had broke away from the bolts how much would that cost to get fixed at least this way i get a quad that i would never have gotten if this had not happened

anyway i was wondering what is the best manual for this bike and what are some quailty light to medium priced upgrades that i can get please be specific i do not know that much about these things i am a newbie this happened on my first ride in 10 years thanks for your help bigfred

Stock frame is a little more than $700 I think? G-force axles are pretty cheap as far as axles go, $200 from rocky mountain. Full exhaust system makes a world of difference along with a high flow air filter and jet kit. I like the Yoshimura exhaust myself.

thanks for your help do you think that the frame could be bent back it is bent in the front where the a-arms are connected at the end of the frame it's problity about 3/4 to a inch off the axel and brake disk are fixed and what about a manual for this so i can do the work myself

One of my buddies bent his frame and we took it to the body shop and chained it to the floor, used hydraulics to pull it back.

RoadRidin450r yep thats right i got a 06 kfx 400 and he got one of those new 08 450r he payed the difference between a new 06 kfx 400 and the 450r so thats where im at but i love the kfx 400!!

ya that true but i got a bike out of it rather than just spending 2 grand and getting nothing out of it use your brain maybe you want to spend 2 grand and get nothing out of it thats gay i broke it i bought it its as simple as that my uncle would not except anything less than perfect so thats what he got and the kfx is not broke down not working it runs great it just has some little issues thats what happens when you go out and push the limit bigfred

dude, just get the frame guy is offering above. 1. if you bent the frame and try to bend it back you are just looking for something not so good to happen. 2. A gusseted and powder coated frame for these would run you well over 1500 so its a good deal. 3. I think its fkin retarded too that you had to pay full price. It was a used ATV so I would only pay used value.
