Ok i plan on racing my blaster next year. I will be doing XC racing. Right now it is stock width and i want to get aftermarket a-arms for it. And i dont really want to flip the wheels. I was wondering how much i should widen it and what kind of a-arms i should get. Any thoughts are welcomed. Thanks

Well width wise you only want prolly +1 a arms. I'd say for arms get some Burgard Cycle +1 A-Arms. For like 500 bucks you'll have a nice set of powder coated arms with tie rods and ball joints! What kind of shocks do you have?

Right now i have stock but i hope to get so aftermarket ones as well as the a-arms

for the rear, i adapted the whole banshee rear end.

The swinger was +1
The axle was +4 with stock rims and +8 with aftermarket.

The only thing was it took some fabrication to get the banshee swinger to fit.

Heres with stock rims:

If you dont want to get too serious in racin, you should go for the workx shox. A friend of mine has got a pair there perfict for both racing and on the trails.

Yea works are a great cheap alternative....they may not have the ajustability of elka but at least you dont bottom out on every small jump.

Depends on your budget and how serious you wana get, i mean you could blow alot on it.. or just abit!

for XC you want height and travel, 4/1 inset rims with +2 a-arms and a decent set ov shocks (custom axis, elka, fox or pep?)

Then on the rear a +2 swinger, Adjustable axle for those certain wide tracks and also for the super tight tracks.. and beadlocks..

buh dont go over +2/3 on the frotn and rear.

herrmannracing.com has a long travel kit that uses 18.50 shocks. im looking into it. you can buy +1 +2 +3 a arms
