I am looking for Heel Guards for my XC Build...

Does anyone know where you can buy them NEW?

Thanks,
Dan

I dont think you can buy them new.

You're either going to have to custom build them. Or order some for like a 400EX or something and modify them. I have IMS pegs on my 250R now and i'm going to look into both. I'm going to look at 400EX heel guards and take some measurements and see if i can make it fit easily enough.

you probably could get the oem ones that came on 89's. Maybe heel guards from a 400ex, 450r would work with some modding, also. You will have to do some modding to your frame, if you don't have a 89 frame.

i have the oem ones from my 89, and would be willing to part with them...

How much?

---------------------
Dan, unless you have an 89 frame it is unlikely they will be able to mount to anything unless you make a mount on the frame or get the heel guards modified.

I think it could work, but might ruin the finish. I'd order 400ex ones and mod them, then powdercoat them.

That's actually one of the reasons I went with a custom frame - so I could use 450R footpegs and heelguards.
------------------------

Is it true that IMS/Roll no longer make 250R footpegs?

I wouldn't doubt it. I have 2 sets of those pegs 86/87 and one for 88/89. Its just a shame, that those pegs for 86/87 just bent the peg plates over time and with them being discontinued. That is also the reason why I'm going for custom frames to use 450r pegs and my next 2 will have regular pro-peg tubes, so I can use them. I have bent 5 sets of peg plates for a 86 atc250r and one for a 86 atc200x using those pegs. I forget, also a set of peg plates for 86/87 trx250r.

If you haven't gotten nerf bars yet and plan to you could just get a set with the heel guards from Pro Armor or something?

I am assuming that Pro Armor makes ones for the 250 with Heel Guards like the 400ex ones?

It is for an XC Build... do not plan to run nerfs...

IMS doesn't make them any more....this is your best bet

There is a set of Ims heel gaurds on Ebay right now. I think they end in about 3 or 4 days. Go to Ebay motors then under atv parts and accessories go to 250r parts. Maybe this will help

I believe you can still get some from lonestar or roll design.. check their websites
