How did you break your collar bone Nausty?
Posted by: Rollin20s
awsome pics, how did you break your collar bone. i did a nose dive on a double on my 250x and broke mine a few years ago.
Posted by: Nausty
i wanted to get a feel for what it felt like jumping in 4th gear cuz I hit that big jump in 3rd gear pinned so I figured i'd just hit it strait on without taking the corner and hit it going way faster than I wanted to and flat landed it and ended up about going over the bars but fell to the side and when I hit the ground is when it broke. IT was pretty scary when I when I was pushing it in and out after I crashed. Now I have to wear this thing around my shoulders and i'm really sore.
Posted by: Bean
when and how?
it sux dont it nausty, i did that once, cant stand up, move your head, etc without hurting it
Posted by: QuadTrix6
that does suck i knew akid who broke his while trying back flips on his bmx bike he got messed up and had to wear a brace to that sucks feel better bro
Posted by: Nausty
yah it sucks, i havn't taken any pain killers or anything and now I wish I did when I was at the hospital but i'll just tough it out like when I crashed a few years ago and had like a 140 stitches in my arm and a big ol' chunk missing. Will have to wear it for a couple months too. And no riding for a longgg time but thats ok cuz my quad needs a lot of maintance. Thanks quadtricks.

hey Nausty, there's a really cool(hot) medicine out there that when you put it on it's really cold then turns hot. it hels relax your muscles. when i broke my collar bone this summer i was addicted to that stuff. it works trust me! i can't remeber what it's called but if you ask a doctor they will know what your talking about.

I'll have to try that icy hot stuff. The thing is I always wear my chest protecter and for some reason I just forgot to put it on when i got my tire fixed and the first jump without look what happens. oh well, could be worse I guess.
Posted by: Bean
well, if u think on the positive side, less time for riding = less wear and tear, stays clean, and more moddin time!
lmao, im feelin sorry for ya bro
Posted by: Nausty
yah, by the time i ride again I will have carbon fiber bead locks and a bunch of other suff probably and a enlarged oil tank or cooling kit or something.
Posted by: DEAL
I overshot a small stepdown before, it HURT alot especially since i have stock suspention.
Posted by: Rollin20s
just about anything hurts on stock suspension lol
Posted by: R-Crazy
man, that sucks, i hate breaking bones and not being able to ride. About a year ago i broke my wrist in 3 spots, then once it healed i went riding once, and then broke my hand because some kid tried to pick a fight. o well. people have hard heads and my hand found that out. at least he was the one with the broken nose and black eye. he didnt even touch me!!!
fell better and if ya feel your bike needs to be ridden, im here for ya!

Posted by: Nausty
yah by the time I will be riding again i'll pry have a kicker ramp and more stuff done to my quad like axle, a-arms, bead locks and maybe a powder coated, gusseted frame. Actually I pry won't have the a-arms on it.

When i broke my arm the place i broke it in was about 1/4 of an inch away from my growth plate. The doctor said i lucked out cuzz i didnt break it on the plate. Luckly i didnt dislocate it but i didnt think it was broken but it started hurtin the next day so i went to the doc and he said it was broken in 2 spots. Atleast this way you get to mod your quad more.
Posted by: rookiex
I know how you feel man.....I broke mine both sides twice.....One of my is not even attached anymore....I hope you get better.....Keep hitting the pain killer cuz you dont' want the pain to get controal cuz after that its hard to make go away....all I can say is wear your figure 8 or what ever you have that fixes collar bones....sling or whatever....its hard to sleep at night too....but get better man nice pictures
Posted by: Colby@C&DRacing
Very nice pics!!! Sorry to hear about the collar bone. The only advise on the collar bone I have is make sure that the doctors get it as close to normal as possible. I broke mine a year ago and the doctors let mine heal on top of each other and now I have a rather large protrusion in that area where they let it heal...
We hope you have a fast recovery.
Posted by: Nausty
The actual bone I broke is called a clavical, from what I understood it was part of the collar bone. Is there a chance that it could heal wrong and like one shoulder would be lower than the other? Are you in any pain today from it?
Posted by: Nausty
i'll give it a bump
Posted by: trueblue450
damn i cant believe i missed that. we went to the other track and i was wondering were you guys wentand why your quad was sitting in the shop. So you took that triple.??? That must have been huge! You shoulda came over to that house though.. That guy had the cooolest 440 i have ever seen. He had the cleanest garage. But sorry to hear about your injury.
Posted by: Nausty
no I never took the triple, I figured I was gonna do it the day after so if I got hurt I wouldn't miss a day of riding. I ended up trying to hit that downhill double without taking that corner so I could hit it going faster and I hit the ramp wrong. Yah I think you knew, but I couldn't go cuz of a flat tire and I didn't want you guys to wait for me to get it fixed. Was the 440 yellow with a red frame? I think i've seen some pictures of it before on joes web site. So how was the track there?
Posted by: Derek
Feel better.
Posted by: trueblue450
No it had shiney gray maier plastic. it looks better than any quad on this site i think.. but his track was pretty nutty.. It was all in woods and if you messed up you'd be in a tree. It was all huge doubles but the kid on the cannondale was takin some of them.. pretty huge. It had a nice woops section. But Joe's tracks better i think
