I wanna add some more lights on my 400ex and was wondering how much I could add on before its a problem. Not very good with electrical stuff, so please explaine your answers.

I was looking at the trailtech lights and not sure what I could add ex: amps, watts?????

I have two 35 watt lights hooked
up so when the high beam is on
all the lights come on and have
never had a problem in 7 years
the stock lights are used in low
beam and the stock high beams
and the ricky stator lights on the
bars come on when in high beam
hope this helps

your battery is likely only 8 or 9Ah and i thought i had read the alternator is around 120watts.(12v 10a)

im not sure about the typical consumption rating of the stock lighting, but id guess around 90watts or so..

doesnt leave much room to be adding new stuff without replacing the current stuff..

I was hoping to add on 2x30W lights(WITH THE HIGH BEAMS) and since I ride in winter here in Quebec, a heated sheeld for my helmet, that pluges right up to the atv.
