i have a dg xcellorator and it is very loud and my grand parents dont like it so does anyone have one

Rev-man we have that pipe and it's real loud,but a spark arrester will not make it any quiter.Ours is about 2 years old and needs repacked now it is starting to rattle inside.To make it not so loud you will have to repack it and change the size of the outlet pipe.At one time DG made diffrent size outlet pipes for this pipe, if they still do I do not know.You can have someone make you a
spark arrester and new end cap for it,if needed that bad.
