Air filter oil?

Hey guys- my buddy has an 02 Warrior and he recently bought a stock replacement air filter for it. He said it had some oil already on it but was wondering if he should put some more on. I have some left over from my UNi that I can give him but he wants to make sure it's OK first.

I figure it should be good to go if it is a new filter. Especially if it is a OEM stock replacement. The filter package/instructions should tell you wether or not the filter has to be oiled before use.
