Apache Trax -- any differences betwen 2007 and 2008 models?

Last year I looked at buying the Apache tracks, for a 2007 Outlander 800 Max. I couldnt get a set (backordered) untill very late in the snow season, so I passed on the idea completely. Now, I see the 2008 models come with or without steel studs. I was speaking to a fairly local dealer over the weekend, and he indicated he may be trading in a set of 2007 tracks from a guy who has to have the new ones with studs. I could probably pick them up for a more resonable price.
Does anybody know what else might have changed on the track system (besides the studs). I hate to buy the one-year old ones and then find out they had some limitation that the '08 model fixed. Thanks for anything you can add.....
