Took your advice on holding the shifter down on the start. What a difference. Also set the idle higher to burn off the fuel in the carb while sitting at the starting line. Remember, at FTR they sit with their hands on their helmets and the engine running waiting for the siren. He made huge advancements from his first race.

Thanks for the advice and giving him a fighting chance.
