Racer Productions is considering a class change due to Cobra's dominance. They are looking for ideas from the competitors.Shifter mod class?Manual clutch class?Cobras on their own? GNCC Racing

Im recommending a manual clutch class. That would give them there own class. Also they need to not have so many WIDE open tracks. Those of us that race the series know what im talking about.

I would like to see a shifter class similar to the MX nationals.
Then you would have a chance to build a fast, reliable ATV.
I def agree with less wide open straights!

I think District 6's classes were the best I've seen this season...
Youth 4 stroke up to 125cc (8-15 yrs)
90cc 2 str/125cc 4 str Production CVT belt driven trans only (8-15 yrs)
70 Prod CVT belt driven trans only 70 cc max (6-11 yrs)
50cc stock limited I class (4-8 )
Quad Jr. Mini (6-11 yrs) up to 70cc (all types mini quads)
Quad Supermini (8-15 yrs) up to 90cc 2 str / 125 4 stroke (all types mini quads)
You could run the Cobra in the jr or super mini along with any other type of mod quad.

Then what would you do with an Xtreme 125 for example. Would that be in the youth 4-stroke?

Yes,I think your right.
The GNCC tends to stick with production stuff but a supermini class would be a nice transition into the faster full size quads when the kids are ready to move up.

I think the supermini is a pretty good idea. My other thought would be a 90cc 2-stroke mod and a 125cc 4-stroke mod classes.

Was the meeting productive, any answers or just more questions?

No answers yet but it looks like there will be a manual clutch/cobra class(11-15 yr)...All cobras are in this class and if your not an 11 yr. old then you cant race a cobra.

glad to see a change!!!! they touted the youth racing in the begining as an affordable deal, and we all know how that goes, however there are very damn few 4 strokes that will hang with a stock cobra on those jeep trails they have been racing on!

Just wish they would consider a shifter(hybrid) class and limit them to a production mini quad frame.Definately just as affordable as a Cobra.
