Here are some of my actual hard plates that I custom made. My company is called FourWerx Motorsports and I can make any shape Carbon Fiber plate for any bumper or grab bar.

Its seems to me that carbon fiber would be much too rigid to make a good plate. All I can picture is spending a ton of money on it, and then getting something caught behind it or ran into and it breaking.
