Im taking about a 60 dollar hit hear cause I ordered the wrong size/year. This piston is for 87-89 and I have an 86 short rod..

Heres the sizing on the box-

clear: 0.0030 (0.076mm)
2648cd cw18

the largest number across the top is

562M06725

Any qs. please feel free to ask. This is not a stock bore piston! so youll need to have your cylinder bored/honed.

From those numbers i posted how can you tell bore size? I was told the only way is to measure the cylinder?

Also I installed this piston, saw it didnt fit, then took it off. it was never used...

562 indicates that it is the 88 style 250r piston. (86 style begins with 526)

6725 = 67.25mm, 0.050 oversize, 5th bore

hey man thank you very much.. I checked on ebay for this # (526MO6725) and its saying its a 1.25 over size? is that correct

Order your next one from yamaha of troy, if you mention the dirtwheels ad they only charge 62 for a wiseco piston.
