I got brake pads today from C&D racing... I went to put them in but they didn't seem to agree with that plan
I clamped the piston so it was all the way in, put pads on and put the guide pins in (after cleaning them up and putting a little anti-seize) thought all was good so went to put them on the rotor... They didn't seem to want to go on the rotor, made sure piston didn't come back out, nope still in all the way...
it just seems like there is not enough room for rotor between pads, was kinda thinking they sent wrong pads but that seems unlikely package says "Magnum Full Metallic Brake Pads" there is a sticker on that says "AT-05404F (FA84R) "
any ideas

on my old 400ex my brakes would always fit tight like that. i would have to tap on the back of the caliper with a rubber mallet to get everything seated. i think this happens when your brakes pads are not perfeactly parallel, it makes the outside of the brake pads have a wider opening on the outside and smaller neer the alignment pins. this makes it hard to get the caliper on. my brakes would usually drag for a bit after instilation. ride your quad with your foot slightly pressing on the pedal.

i grinded down the pads a little, they didn't drag "a little" it was bad, brakes got SO hot so I just took a grinder to pads

The parking brake assembly or block off plate may have prevented the cylinder to recess far enough to fit the pads.
