ok how hard is it to changet the arens frames to a 4-stroke? are they any good? i found one with a ESR 265 powervalve.

im lokingto race the D23 Hairscrambles and then i was thinkin about a few mx events at local track.. what would you say to do... this is my first 250r so im not really sure... but i couldnt pass this quad up...

hers what the quad has....
ESR 265 Powervalve w/ billet headESR exhaust
Arens frame
Hinson clutch cover
Roll design footpegs
CR ignition
Boyesen rad valve
PEP suspension
Lonestar swingarm
Fullbore Plastic
Klotz graphics
Laeger A-arms
ITP beadlocks in rear
ITP MX tires
Tag handlebars
AC nerf bars
skid plate

im now sure what would do better... i figuered if i learn how to ride this right ... i will be just as fast... what do you 250r riders say?

heres a pic too

How much are you going to get that R for?

Posted by: Showcase

i say keep it, learn to ride it good, and beet them four strokers.

Don't they let the 265cc and under 2-strokes run with the 4-strokes? I thought that was why the 265's were so popular back in the day.

Is this R yours?

Posted by: woodsracer144

yeah im buying it from the guy that has it for sale... i should have it some time next week...

Posted by: woodsracer144

heres another

bike looks to be competively set up, suspension and motor wise. you should be able to rip it up on that thing

Posted by: woodsracer144

yeah... im thinking that im gonna just keep it 2 for a while... all there is at the hairescrambles is 4 stokes and theres only one person that i know that races a 250 r at them here and there and i've only seen 2 being raced since i've started in this sport...(in 2001 ish...) about 8 years ago... and about 4 i started in to the hairscrambles... and its a esr powervalve... i dont know how good they are but they have to be better than stock and i know that thos kits start at $799 for a non power valve i think... not a 100% sure tho...

not to sway u on the quad, but there was a full xc arens ( i think) with axis susp all around on ebay for way cheap...maybe search on completed listings...u know instead of having to convert a mx quad to xc.

Posted by: woodsracer144

i cant find it on there... most the hairscrambles are as wide as a skidsteer so you can use a mx quad.... 800screws how do you like your r?

Posted by: 800screws

how do i like it!! best thing i ever did was go back to a 2 stroke! i really only started riding quads for about 2 years, i've been on bikes. got a lt250r, mx'd it, and i was hooked. i figured i would get something that would hold up better and bought the hybrid. well, the 4 stroke sure was easy to ride, but it didn't have any thrill to it. so i converted back to a 310 and love it. i liked it so much, that i bought another R...

district 23 allows 265cc's in mx hence the class title 265\450cc.
