its lookin pretty good,
you have any more plans for it?
Posted by: TRX-330
thanks man. butt ya lots more plans for it. Finally grew enough balls to shave my plastics, thinkin about puttin on my +4 axle, need to get fatty bar adapters, still lookin for a deal no a 250r scooped hood, and well w/e else comes to mind while workin on it.
IM deff in need of a new slip on tho, i want a tc shorty or one of those DG xccelerator
Posted by: honda300EXtreme
yea, i would definatly get that axle on, these bikes are so narrow, any additional width really helps,
and yea tc makes a great slip on, i love the shorty design,
hetrick racing used to make something very similar,

i need new pics again cuz i shaved my plastics yesterday, and to show that this thing dose get muddy haha.
Ill get some before when muddy and afterwhen clean shots tommara.

I noticed you guys are both talking about the condition of this 300ex, just wondering if I got a good deal on mine, I payed 1,000 for this 98 300ex and think I got a really good deal, but am more of a street bike guy, who has wrecked and the wife will only let me play in the woods now
...at least I am fortunate for that....hey also to the one looking to change his pipe, I really need an aftermarket slip on, dont care if it looks ratty, just a little paint can cure that, I am in Belvidere, NJ so if close can meet trade, deal, and even rip together,......let me know what you guys think of this one!!!!
Posted by: klutch
for 1000 looks like you got a great deal i got my 01 for 1500, sold a 92 250x other day for 1200 so i think you got a great deal
Posted by: klutch
also trx how do you like the 400ex front end im planning on doing it to mine.
Posted by: TRX-330
I like the 400ex front because it is 2 inches wider butt the stock shocks just dont seem to be built for the bike, im planning on getting some aftermarket 400ex shocks tho. I would say do it, i like it better than stock the only thing i would do in the future is upgrade to better shocks.

Anyone out there know anything about wheel spacers and if it's worth putting them on my 300ex, will it give me a better stance or not? Really appreciate the feedback.......

There are much better ways to widen the quad. Even though I'm not a big fan of the conversion the 400ex front end would be much better than spacers. It doesn't really cost much more than spacers either. Spacers will cause your bushings to wear faster and create more bumpsteer. Spacers are ok for the rear if you are on a budget though but a wider axle would be even better.

Haha I've never had anyone call me that...or even ask why the titanium is there. In case you are wondering I had knee replacement and they are made from titanium.
Anyhow...the spacers aren't the greatest idea. I would recommend finding some 400ex arms, shock mount relocation bracket, and some 400ex length shocks (valved for the setup) and you'll have much more stability and control without as much bumpsteer or feedback from the bars. It might cost a bit more but well worth it compared to the spacers.

I sort of thought that you were injured in some way and had a TITANIUM part in ya...my boy actually just had his whole femer bone replaced with a titanium rod due to wrapping my 99 GSXR750 around a telephone pole at 110 MPH....STUPID!!! LMAO, he's ok if you were wondering, but what an idiot, who downshifts from 4th to 2nd in 2 clicks and then slaps the front brake because the azzz end slips on ya........LOL Hey thanks for the info speak to you guys on here real soon, what an awesome way to get the info you need and from awesome people like yourself.....hey ever need anything let me know......my company info is below and contact #'s.....

Ouch! Glad to hear he's ok. At 110 mph he's lucky to be alive.
My knees are a result of a few nasty crashes on a BMX bike back when I was 12 yrs old.
Ya atvriders is a great place to get any quad related info you need (and even some non-quad stuff)
TRX-330- sorry to get off topic...nice looking 300 BTW. I have always liked the look of the 250r hoods on 300's. I'm partial to the red/black combo myself
