I am looking at a YZ400F hybrid another member has for sale on this site. I would like to know if I could use it for MX. It is a leager frame with a whole bunch of goodies and works suspention all arround. The only thing I am doubting is if the power output will be enough? If not, what other motor with more power has the same mounting configuration?

All of the YZF engines are great for MX. Alot of people overlook the YZ400f becuase of its lower cc size, but its a very strong running engine and shouldnt have a problem holding its own on an mx track. You can always upgrade it to 426cc also. The 400 426 engines will swap right in and out, the 450f engine will require some modifications.

Thank you
Justin

HP #'s on the 400F are only 2 less then the 426, I have herd any were from 44-46 HP for the 400F. Thats bone stock.
