will 2003 plastic work on a 2000 model? i know it a new style but do the mounting tabs line up?

all of the tabs work except for the hood side tabs and the head light mount tab will need to be bent up and the spacer cut down alittle shorter.we did this to my sons blaster and used color matched zip ties to hold the hood on from the sides and you can not tell it was done.
