Has anyone used this product on their ATV and does it really maintane by batteries if I were to leave the quad unused for 6 months? I want to make sure this is the right model to get for my 400EX.
Thanks

yes they work awesome and i highly recommend them. the older ones were good also...but the newer ones are much better. you can leave it hooked up as long as ya want....and when yer ready to ride the battery will be ready too
we sell a ton of them and rarely see any failures.

Which are the old ones and new ones?

the old ones are sold under the normal name of battery tender. the new ones should have battery tender plus....or new on the packaging. the older ones seem to sell at $59.95 and the newer ones $79 i believe

I would recommend them to anyone with a motorcycle/atv. I have used one on my sportbike for years, and love it. Plus,I got a quick disconnect on mine, so when I am done riding, I just plug the two ends together, and I don't have to worry about taking my seat off and hooking up the alligator clips to the battery terminals. Now that I have the atv, and a friends atv at my house, I am looking into getting the battery tender that has like 5 outlets.
