well, went out today for the"last ride of the year"...(i knew i was screwed when i said that.) was at the track taking a break after a couple easy laps to get my arms warm. got ready to head back out and gave the kicker a good hard poke...engine didnt fire and kicker didnt recoil back. reached down and pulled the kicker up and it came off in my hand with half the shaft broken off. busted the **** out of the side case as well.
thats the first time i've ever seen a kick start shaft shear off, really has me wondering about how good of an idea it is to be welding these extensions on the way we do.
i'll tear apart this week to get an idea of the damage, but will probably just drive it up to TC for a good going through.
will get some pics up later...you wont believe how bad the case is broken.

ive got a 426 right cover, not sure if they are the same
