Yeah I have the rotor guard I just wasnt sure about that chain guard

This is the proarmor. It looks like it doesnt hang down.

PRM has the new "Freestyle Skid" my dealer just called and said it was in so I was going to get it tomorrow. It doesn't cover the linkage like all the rest. And since I am running a GT Thunder Link on my LTR I would have to cut off the linkage box anyway I like the GT Thunder Sprocket Guard but the Rotor guard will crack. I was going to buy the Sprocket Guard for my LTR and then cut my PRM skid I ordered in half and use it for a rotor guard. But since PRM came out with this new skid it gives you just as much clearance as the GT Thunder setup.

Also Laz may not have the LTR Sprocket Guards in stock yet. I know he had Jonhnny G's LTR at least a couple months ago to do mock ups for the sprocket guard. So you will have to call and see if he has them or not.

I have a GT linkage on mine also. Im trying to get the best protection and the most ground clearance.

i have th epro armour and it has plenty it is super strong to an dalso has a spot for a tie down

I had two of thos pro armor skid plates and both got riped off if i was you i wouldn't get it go with the PRM

Yep, go with PRM skids. Here's a link to their site, check out the Z-Plate swingarm skids. That is what I have, it's bullet proof! Little more expensive than others, but worth it.

Which PRM would be the best since Im running a GT linkage. The freestyle is cut out around the linkage.

The Freestyle is what you wanna go with. I just got mine last week. Another quailty product from PRM

i have a armadillo skid plate for the motor and swing arm it was a decent price and i the was the first thing i put on my quad the stock thing that guards the motor is like plastic. and as far as clearance the LTR was designed for a mx track u have to get taller tires for normal riding. drop a tooth on the front sprocket to make up for the lil power loss on da tires

I have a full dasa pipe, fuelatv intake, cherry bomb, power commander, 12T sprocket. Runnin 22s up fron and 21s in the rear. power is not my problem. im tryin to build it for xc racing

i got a pro armor one and it didn't last more then 2 days of hard riding and it bent to where the plate was touching the chain and rear disk.

PRM makes some nice skids. I've hit rocks so hard the rear of the quad come off the ground a few feet and still haven't put a dent in my Z plate.

i made a comment on the first page about how ****ty the pro armor skid plate was. Just this past weekend I was riding at APEX in las vegas and I bottomed out right on top of a rock and it snaped the OEM bolt that used to hold the rear disk cover and plated is now useless and don't know how to fix the hole that the bolt came from so i can bolt another skid plate to it. that skid plate was less then 2 months old.

By the way. i hear a lot about the RPM skid plate and i was wondering what website i could look at to see how it looks or bolts on.

I have a pro- armor too. If I had to do it again I would have bought the PRM.

Mine is pretty beat up, I've had to bend it back in place quite a few times. Not a stout piece at all. Total rip off for the price. one of the only aftermarket parts I've bought that I was dissappointed with.

I would not buy pro-armor anything, they're expensive and the quality isn't there at all.

PRM, or even AC make a better product.

I had exactly the same problem. The bolt snapped off after 2 weeks with the OEM skidplate. I was thinking of taking the swingarm to an engeneering shop and asking them to weld a nut into the hole.

If you have any other ideas or know of any skidplates that don't use that hole, please let me know.

i heard a lot about the PRM and thats what i'm getting next. I'm not sure where it bolts on and if it uses that same hole.

The PRM uses the same mounting holes, but the skid is much tougher than that pro armor.
