sprockets and 18" tires???

i need new rear wheels and tires and want to go to an 18" tire; what do you guys suggest to run for sprocket sizes. i want more low to midrange power than top end.

if you want more low to midrange then just leave the stock gearing when you get 18s or go down a tooth in the back just so you dont loose too much top end.

that recauclator is awesome.
i went from a 20 to a 18 myself. the ONLY place i've noticed a accelartation improvement on MY quad is in 4th gear. it seems to pull really good, compared to anyother gear, with the 18's or the 20's. run stock gearing. the quad i think is actually slower off the line tho. (probally because of the increased tire spinning, or the faster shifting.)
i do enjoy my 18's alot more then the 20's tho. they're much more predictable. the whole quad is easier to handle. the handeling performance FOR ME is way better then the 20's. i hate the tippy feeling of my quad with 20's, and it is 100 precent gone with the 18's. i love mine.

i just ordered kenda claws mx 20" fronts / 18" rears and a 14 and 36 tooth renthal sprockets. should be close to stock gearing with the smaller tires, w/ a little bit more pull factor to it. i won't beable to find out for a while though, w/ 4 broken ribs and this is only the start to fixing my quad after a crash a couple of weeks ago. guess my winter build starts earlier than i wanted it to.

I went from 22" xct's to 18" mxr's and it felt so much better I took off pulling a wheelie not even trying.

housers stickers are lame, i been thinking about cutting my front fenders to give myself some more room to move, but i have not made up my mind yet.

Free ridin - leave the fenders, get a different hood though, looks pretty good like that.
Also you guys using that gearing calculator, make sure you are actually measuring your rear tire size, do NOT go by the label on the tire, its 99% of the time wrong. An 18" rear Kenda is the same size as a 20" rear stock dunlop on a 450R. My 18" turf tamers measured at 16.75" Make sure you MEASURE!
