so on my 2006 yfz. just got it like 2 weeks ago. brand new. the throttle seems to be getting "stuck". if i let off the thumb throttle the engine continues to be supplied as if my thumb never stopped giving gas. is this a dirty carb issue or something else

is it brandnew from the dealer?

Posted by: woodsrider4ever

if it is take it back if should be under watenty for another 2 weeks jus make sure you do it before then

sounds to me like your carb is dirty from old gas and the slide isnt going down fast enough

yes it is brand new

Mine was doing the same thing. I had lost the plastic cap on the top of the carb. There is a spring and plunger under the cap. It could also be dirty or the cable could be kinked.
