I was wondering how to adjust the rear shock. I know about the compression and dampening screws but which is which and what will each do. I cant remember. Then the preload with the 2 rings, there is supposed to be a tool used for it otherwise you can damage the rings. Can someone help me out with adjustments and where to get the tool?

The rear shock has a flathead screwdriver type adjustment on the top of the shock and one on the bottom. The one on the top of the shock adjusts the compression(or how stiff the shock is), the on on the bottom adjusts rebound(or how fast the shock will return to its normal state). You can also adjust the preload by loosening the top ring which is a jam nut basically, and then by turning the bottom ring. If you are wanting to adjust the preload start off by getting the quad suspended in the air and leave the rear with no tension on the rear spring. THen loosen the jam nut and spin the ring tighter to raise teh quads rear and looser to lower the quads rear.

alright thanks so I just use a screw driver on the 2 flat head screw adjusters then for the rings what do i use to turn them. For my brothers they didnt loosen easy and he ended up breaking his rear shock long story lol but i thought there was a tool to buy that was for adjusting the preload

today I had it at stock rebound dampening(bottom screw) took it for a ride, came back and adjusted it way too slow, came back adjusted it a little more and it was amzing the difference from stock settings. I ran a GNCC course today for fun that the park just built and with the rear shock adjusted I took the whoops so fast and hit bumps and it just smoothly went over them. Almost as smooth as my brothers Works rear shock. So I can deffinately see a revalve, resprung being better than low end aftermarket. Thanks for the help I greatly appreciate it
