i dont get it i put the 440 kit on my quad and it wont stop blowin head gaskets anyone have any ideas or have the same problem?

Common. Heavy duty head studs seems to solve the problem for most folks.

whats the comp. if its like 11:1 then ya, those hd studs will help

I had the same problem with mine, the first time the gasket blew i decided it was time to cut my losses and throw the HD studs in. It has been good ever since.

also, make sure your using a quality gasket kit.

90% of the time it is the head studs pulling loose. When you blow it, check the torqe on the head before you take the nuts off. If any of them are not still at 33ft/lbs then the head studs are pulling. Of that 90% I would say 95% of the time it is the exhaust side head stud that is actually pulling loose. Most people say that the Heavy Duty head studs are the way to go, and that is the way I went, but most of the engine builders I called said they simply heli-coil the threads for the exhaust stud.

my studs were pulling out of the cylinder as well. I bought the appropriate heli-coil kit and used loctite and havent had a problem since.
