To make a long story short I was riding my quad one day and it shut off, wont start again. Using the service manuel went though everything, tried twonew cdi, and three different stators and two coils. Basically changed everything out still does the same thing. I have the spark plug clamped to the frame and when I kick it over I count 1 thousand one, 1 thousand two and then it sparks. If I kick it over severeral times it only sparks on the last kick after the 2 second delay. This is hard to explain but has this every happened to anyone else. It is a good blue strong spark that actually makes a little pop when it sparks, it just takes two seconds to get to the plug.

make sure that your crank don't have up and down play cosing your stater grounding out
