ok guys so im ready to fire up the engine for the first time, let me give you a run down and you tell me if the jetting is gonna be close enough to start breaking in (heat cycles) then fine tune down the road
ESR TRX6 pipe and silencer
K and N with lid, box has cutout
Boyeson Rad valve
261 cc with a low-mid port job
elevation is 500-1000
jets in carb from ESR are 460 main, 25 pilot, needle is on 3rd position or middle,
is this gonna be good to start firing up and breaking the motor in or too fat? too lean? i will be using 93 octane with amsoil dominator at 42 to 1 per the engine builders instructions

I thought dominator was synthetic? I'm pretty sure you need to break the motor in with a non-synthetic(castor bean)oil. Also, I'm not sure how the esr jets are measured, but I would think a 165 main(keihin jet) and a bigger pilot would be better. Also, I've been premixing at 32-1 whatever brand of oil I use since burning up a set of rings using amsoil at 40-1(plug looked great, rings still got toasted). I now run redline synthetic or blendzall castor bean and haven't had a problem since(jettting stays the same between the two, it just depends on which shop I hit on the way to go riding as to what's available).

its is but engine builder (Neil) said it was fine its what he runs in all his engines at 3 ounces to a gallon which is like 42.336 to 1 or something like that and the mikuni gets are way different than the keihn so those numbers wont help me at all

my thoughts exactly plus the piston was pre baked which i believe h said takes out the need for breaking in with a regular oil plus i dont run conventional oil in anything i own

i would listen to what ever neil says he knows what he is talking about.

so what do you guys think? close enough to start doing heat cycles and then ride it to see just how fat or lean it is? contacted ESR for their recommendation since its their pipe and carb came from them but who knows how long that reply will take.
