my quad ran fine before tear down.noted cracks in frame,so decided to go through quad.back together enough to start, so wanted to hear run.kicked it over with plug out & grounded no spark, ohmed every thing per shop manual only thing out of spec was coil. instead of .1 to .3 it was .6.checked ground due to powder coated frame between ground & anywhere on motor or frame, under 2.0 ohms.also tried another plug.all in garage during repairs.been down aprox 3 months.also when ohmed checked at both part & through harness.any ideas

How fast were you kicking it? I remember C Leigh saying it needed at least 75 rpm or so to spark.

So did you replace the coil? You should if you haven't.

with out the plug in it was spining over quick.no coil has not been replaced,I'll start there.just thought it was odd that it was running fine before, then a few months on the bench killed it.I knew something would happen though, sat too long.
