I am hoping to pick up a crf hybrid in the next few days. I was just wondering how a stock crf will do up against the production 450's with mods like a pipe, cams, and an ignition. I have heard alot of different answers but none of these people have ever owned or raced hybrids. I would like to from all you hybrid owners out there, about your experiences .Thanks for the help,
Sam

My friend has a modded 450 exactly as you described and my CRF hybrid is all stock except for a module and it doesn't even compare. We are equal "B" level MX riders and draggin at the dunes I take him by 5 or 6 bike lengths in about a 1/8 mile if I had to guess.

The mx bike motors have a lot more power than the quads. The motors are in completely different state of tune.
Some will say add a cam from the bike and yada yada but i think theres more to it than that.i would imagine the ignition is more aggressive on the bikes as well.
