I have a 87 honda 250x and i just lost third gear and i'm not thinking about fixing it unless its cheap. I was wondering if theres any other engines i can swap in other than the 350x engine wich is pretty hard to come by. I was thinking cr250 or cr500 would be easy but I would like some opinions and ideas from you guys thanks.

I had a similar idea and put a 2002 kx500 in a 450 four stroke frame and now I would never go back to a four stroke ever again!!!!!!
