Just got mine back from Dave Moore, had it lightened. Am I going to tell a difference in power? Anyone ever had this done?

not nearly as much if ya were to lighten the fly wheel.

I agree. Seems to me the thing to do would be have the flywheel lightened. Not the counterbalancer...

running a larger cc'd engine. i'd be leaning more at adding c/b'er weight as apposed to taking it off.

another cheap lil trick is to run a 85 atc flywheel.

lighting the counter ballance is asking for trouble, especially if yur runnign big bore.

definatly go with a light fly wheel and keep the counter ballance stock. it will work out lots better

Well too late, I just got the balancer back and just put it in. I'll run iy until it breaks!

About the flywheel, I'm just about finished installing the CR ignition and wondered SHOULD I LIGHTEN THE CR FLYWHEEL? I had my stock wheel lightnd and it was great! I can lighten this CR wheel if yall recommend it. I can do it myself! Should I?

nahhh! run it like it is. you'll get plenty of free torque from it.

With that lightened balancer you will notice the engine will rev quicker but vib more. Keep a check on the frame, specially around the engine mounts cause you will find cracks.

What was interesting about a engine with a cut balancer, when you rev the engine sitting still, the front end will squat, like a cat when it starts to jump.
