When is the new updated swingarm supposed to be availible?I am currently building a drr that has one of the weak ones and I would like to just put the better swinger on now.

Atleast another 30day if not more but definatly before next spring

Speedfreak - Just buy one from Dave Carter and get it over with. I bought the longtravel swinger and I now have NO fears of breakage. Call Marc at HotQuads!

That is more than likely what I will end up getting. It takes a 13" rear shock correct?
Posted by: Logan #34's Dad
That's right. Longer shock means no need to upgrade later when they get big! I plan on running this quad till he is done with the 90CVT (He'll be racing 70CVT for about 3 more years!) so that is why I chose the long travel type.

If anyone on here that sells Dave Carters products would like to pm me a price on a swingarm please feel free to.

Yes, I was leaving the three dots as if I was awaiting a response from the Zen DRR master. Would have put the question mark afterwards but didn't want to give the pouty I want an answer look...just going for the inquiring look. I will work on it. Sorry for the confusion.

Talked to Hetrick racing yesterday and they made it sound like about the 30 days or so. They told me that DRR does not tell them an exact time but made it sound like a month or so.

Any new info on when the swinger will be avalable????

i saw a 44" wide 70cc swing arm bent last night at the track right in front of where the bracket for the axle comes to a point... im wondering if you could tack weld a piece of 1/4" key stock the length of the swing arm tube and notch out the axle bracket and weld it in if that would work??

The fix is not coming soon enough...
There are still issues that need to be addressed before they can launch it.
Best bet is to get your stocker gusseted to help it last longer until they have a solution.

Here is what I did to ours.I welded a 3/16" plate on the bottom to tie the whole thing together.

Hi, You also need to gusset up the bottom rear shock mount too. I have seen a bunch twist the tube where the mount is attached. Even on 50 stock/limited classes.

Thanks for the heads up.I recently ordered a DC longtravel swingarm for it so this one won't be used now but I will make sure I reinforce it there if it ever does get installed on anything.

Stevens...could you get a pic of what you are talking about. I am just not quite gettin it.
Thanks

Hi, I'll see what I can find for you? Where the mount is for the bottom of shock to bolt in, the tube its attached to actually twists and it makes the shock mount lower the more it twists. I have fixed a few allready that did the same.

I think I gotcha...it rotates almost as if the welds to the long tubes stretch or something.
BTW...thanks for the heads up Gary!
Posted by: Steven623
Hi, yes, kind a. I have totally cut out tube the mount is on, re made brackets, and put in a thicker tube and it has held up so far. You can also make up gussetts or a plate , when welded on the bracket and tube can't twist.

So if WV made a couple passes on the both sides to the plate...he should be good to go...correct?
