Has anyone found a stronger ball joint for a 07 MXR? We broke one and bent one today in a XC race. Darn trees. Cost us a win.

Are they the same thread as the first edition apex?

If so, take a look at the ES219R.

" look at the ES219R."

where can I find info on it ? is this a stock part # or ?
who sells it ?

Posted by: WOLFPACK

Sorry....ES419R! I wouldn't purchase it until you know it will work for you. They are usually german built because they are for a 60&70's VW. Tie rod end.

thanx a bunch !..so an auto parts retailer would be 1 place to check on these correct ?

Posted by: WOLFPACK

Yes. Take one of your old ones with you to compare before buying.

If the ES419R is the correct number it is made by TRW. The NAPA part number is 269-2059.

thanx ! .. good info there

Checked our race bike yesterday and we are definately running the ES419R.

You can find them on EBAY for 10 to 15 dollars.

Are those the same as a Typhoon upper?

Posted by: WOLFPACK

I don't know the answer to that. If you needed to you could take your into a parts store and compare them.

Advance auto also has them.
