Laeger Pro-Trx Build

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: 312R1

Well here are some pic's of the build so far...I'm pretty much just putting all my parts from my FrontLine framed R that I built on the Laeger Pro-trax.

I still need to get my pro-trax front end back from Laeger..I sent it to them so they could rebuild, replace all bearings and chrome the arms and the stem.

I'm dropping off my Custom Axis shock tomorrow so the can switch it from a no-link to a CR500 link. I hope to have it finished up in a month or two.

Ditto to all the above...

That is going to be a heck of a ride. Did you get that motor off ebay?

Nice audience in pic#3!

Did you want to trade that two piece from plastic for a one piece?

Posted by: TANNER250r

If you don't mind me asking where did you get that gas cap?

I got it off of ebay..it has the flames on the top.

Thanks for the compliments guy's.

I dropped off my rear shock at Custom Axis this morning and I got a call this afternoon saying it was finished.. All they had to do was change the bottom of it to make it fit the CR500 link, but still I wasn't expecting it to be finished that fast!

Posted by: atvmxr

so you buy all new stuff from laeger or? thought he quit making R frames and etc...

The frame is off of a complete 03 Laeger pro-trax I that I bought. I kept the frame and pro-trax and sold all the other parts I didn't need or want.

When you get back I'd be interested to hear what they had to say or what it cost to get the no-link converted to a CR500 link.

Unfortunately I have both a CR500 link and a 250R link shock and I want to see if I can get one converted to a no-link.

It was a brand new shock so all they did was swap it to a cr500 style and valve it for me..it cost around $150 which I thought was great. I'm home now so I will get the rear end put together this weekend

Yeah thats pretty much it..the only difference is the one I want isn't a nonslip..where that one is grey mine was red.

Does anyone know if CEET has a website?

I hope you plan on taking the plastic off before you put the front end on, haha. The narrow frames are a pain in the arse to get a t-pin stem up in. And you have to put it i n clamps first from the bottom usually.

LOL..Yeah I know..It was a pain to get it out..I talked to Laeger yesterday and I should have my front end back in two weeks..

Posted by: ct350trx

Do you know what it costs for a compleet rebuild of your a-arms and t-pins?

That I'm not sure..I forgot to mention..That price was with chrome tie rods also. If I had to guess, I would say around $300 or less.

Posted by: 312R1

Money shot!!!

Posted by: 312R1

Another.

Posted by: 312R1

Last pic for now...I'm still not finished, still have some odds and ins to do..like new seat cover, new rear beadlocks, new PC2000, Paul Turner hand made pipe and put the front brakes on. Oh and JL kick starter..

Is there any interest in these front shock's..They are almost brandnew..have less then 4 hours on them. I think I'm going to get Custom Axis so all three shocks are the same.

Looks fantastic Steve! It's a good thing you're taking pics now, I know once you ride it it's almost impossible to get it that clean again. To many nooks and crannies.......

My goal one day is to have a Laeger Narrow Pro-trax setup strictly for duning.

Lookin real good!!

What wheel offset and wheel size are you running in those pics?

PM me with any helpful info on setting up or anything that would be good to know about the front end... I have one that hasn't been put on my bike yet.

Thanks!

The fronts are 3+2 offset 20-6-10. Rears are 8X8 with 18-10-8.

The front end is really straight forward..I still have to set my toe and everything.

If you need anymore info just let me know and I'll do my best to help.

Both are good set ups if there done right..The CR500 link is best for MX and the no-link is better for XC..but you can use either one in both types of riding.

Thanks for the compliments guys!!
