04 YFZ piece inside float bowl broke off

ok so hears the deal
my quad ran like Shat so i was told to check my valves witch i did and clean my carb so i did my valves and such and the moved to the carb

i took the carb out went out side with it to take the drain plug off to drain the gas and a piece of the cast fell out of it so i took the dowl off and the noticed the piece that goes down to the plastic broke of but only a chunk of it so i appoxied it and the quick stealed it back together

i was wondering if any one eles encountered this before?
