Here's mine. Stock header thats powdercoated semi-gloss black, and a Pro-Circuit 304 slip-on.

Posted by: XXXRACER165

I use a WB E-series pro-meg system on my 440EX, got it for $550.
On a scale from 1-5, I like it about a 4 & 1/2. It's got 15 discs in it right now and still is quieter than a lot of pipes.

less weight and makes it look better on some exhaust and u dont have to worry about wiping the exhaust out if u loop it

Just got down adding some additions to my new toy. '07 400Ex, bought it new in January. Just added DG X2 Slip-on ($210) pro armor nerfs with heel guards, DG Baja Skid plate, Moose Ignition Box, and rejetted it to 155Main, 40Pilot. The picure is in Teardown mode, just after I finished hot lapping it down the neighborhood (my neighbors hate me)

Posted by: RaginRedneck

Dag nabbit, picture didn't post! How the heck do I add a picture if I'm over the 150,000 byte limit????

Posted by: Bigdaddy52302

I see no one has listed mine yet??? I have a CHM Slip on, little loud but sick power adder in low to mid and if you dont like loud you can buy the silence core for it. No pic as of now I will take one tomorow, I just got the 400 back from the shop, new piston rings, valve job, oil change, carb cleaned and that exhaust installed. The pipe retails for 299$ I got it new for 199$ someone ordered it then fell short on cash. I just finished installing my new 450r front shocks and my new Razr's on new douglus rims. It is going to be a good year!

go in paint, then make the picture smaller. Or make a photobucket account, upload the picture, get a code, and post it on here.

How do you like the DG? Im curious, because your the first person to have one of the fancy DG exhausts on here. we know most of DG's exhausts are crap.. (no offense)

Thanks for your help with the photo bucket deal.

I spent forever hunting for a decent exhaust for this thing. I was concerned about noise, just because they'll check you on the dunes where I plan on riding this summer. Also, I'm a bang for your buck type of guy. After looking at all the different options I came to the conclusion that one slip-on is pretty much the same as the next. I'm sure I'll piss off a few people with that statement, but lets be honest, every write up I saw the damn things would give you about 2-3HP. So if brand -x gives me 2.2 and brand Y gives me 2.3....lets face it not that big of a deal.

As far as liking it? I like the sound, the bike seems to have a lot more low end torque, but I did all my mods at the same time, so I don't know if its the K&N, the ignition box, or the jet kit.

Do you think you can get a sound clip too? Im also very curious about these exhaust's because no one has em. I like to hear how different exhausts sound.. lol.

(BTW: The orange parts don't match your bike at all. Get em sprayed black and it'd look sick.)

Posted by: Ikilla2

I'll do my best with the audio, I'm picking the bike up after an engine rebuild today.

I was going to get black plastics for it but found out how expensive they are in UK, so I picked up a set of Maier plastics for it but unfortunatly they are red too

Il'' get some more pics up this weekend.

Nope not NOS. Glad to see someone else had that idea. It's a piece of pvc pipe (probably 4 inch) with one end cap glued on and the other end is removable. I have one on my 05' 400ex that holds a small set of jumper cables, tire repair/ inflator kit and a small first aid kit. Paint it and you hardly even notice it. It fits behind the stock front bumper great.

Why is there an extra hole? And it looked like you welded the mid-pipe to the header, was it a custom job?

Brauap,
1) I'm not sure why it has a second hole, if I had to guess I would say that this pipe might fit multiple applications where the second hole is used, but I'm not sure.

2) I didn't weld the pipe. The pictures I took were without the clamp installed and it was an extremly tight fit, so tight that when I fired it up without the clamp I couldn't feel any exhaust leaks. The clamp that DG sent was junk and didn't even fit the pipe, but that was a simple trip to the local parts store. For some reason the stock exhaust clamp would not tighten up enough to actually clamp the new exhaust on.

All in all the bike ran awesome at my race yesterday, but since I did several adjustments to it, it's hard to tell what had the most impact.

Well looks like im the first to post a curtis sparks X6! woot woot feelin pretty proud right now. haha

Alright so this is a Curtis Sparks X6 Big core exhaust with ceramic coating.
I got it for right around $500 which is a great price because the retail is about $560 and then you have to add ceramic coating which is probaly like $50. overall great deal.

It adds alot of power i can really feel the power increase especially on the top which is good because i ride with some fast 450's. It sounds amazing.. a little loud but ill just get the new quiet core that they made for it.

Well here it is. Sorry for the crappy pics i took them with my cellphone.

Guess I'll be the first Lexx. Bought it on ebay for $190 shipped. I'm really happy with it. Quiet as stock when putting around, has a nice tone when hard on it that's louder than stock, but sounds better. Haven't pulled the quiet core yet, but I hear it's quite a bit louder.

can you see that it needs to be repacked by looking inside with aflashlightor something? or do I have to drill out rivets?

Hey, Bearair. I heard a rumor that HMF was the "top-dog" for slip-on's, but with a cheep price tag, until the Lexx systems came out. Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?

How do you like your exhaust overall?
Would you recemend it?
Wheres the power:
--bottom end
--mid end
--top end
How is the quality?
Is it cheeply made?
If you had to buy another one, would it be a Lexx?

Also, would you mind posting a sound clip of you Lexx? Just a sitting sound test, the a drive by?

Thank You so much for letting me ask all of these questions!

Posted by: tri5ron

FoxHondaRider,
I could'nt see anything with it installed.
I just bought the bike a month ago, and have only had it out one time. The Big Gun full system was on it when I bought the bike. Seemed a little too loud for me.
Fortunately, Big Gun's have allen screws instead of pop rivets.

it's no big deal to check it, And if you"ve got alot of riding time on yours, chances are the front end of the packing is starting to go.

Packing is cheap, the job is easy, check it out.
You might be able to use short sheet metal screws in place of the pop-rivets.

So far, I like it a lot. The power is better everywhere, but I did a couple other things to it so it's hard to say which mods did exactly what. I did ride it with all the mods and the stock muffler with a large tip before putting the Lexx on, and it's definitely got more power with the Lexx, but it may have been choking back a bit without a better muffler. Lexx claims 2-3HP which is a lot closer than the 8-10 some claim.

The quality is great! Seems to be built about the same as the FMF powercore series when comparing them next to each other. The tip comes out with three allen screws so you can change tips to tune it. It comes with the quiet core installed which works well for me. It's a bit louder than stock when opened up, but has a nice tone. Very quiet at idle and just putting around. Pulling the quiet core makes the outlet 46mm and much louder. It's supposed to be around 99dB with the core out. There are two optional tips you can order from Rocky Mountain ATV to tune the noise level between quiet and the 46mm loud. Each about 2 dB louder than the previous step.

The case has allen screw at the rear which allow you to pull the guts so it's a serviceable muffler. Decent for the money.

I don't see any reason to spend more money unless you like the looks or sound of something else. The quality is good and the fit was excellent. Bolted right up following the instructions with very little hassle. Took me about 10 minutes to install.

I'll try to get a sound clip next time I go out riding with the core in and the core out. Probably this next weekend.

Hey, hyperpro

Do you think you can get a sound clip? I like how most FMF's sound so smooth, and before I got the alien I was considering an FMF.

Also, thanks for posting everyone, keep em coming!

I can't believe no one has one of those dual exhaust systems. They probably don't add as much horsepower as a single pipe anyway.

LUCKY!!!!

Posted by: Hondamaster5505

I ride in the middle of nowhere at coalmines, so you can have tons of people with loud exhaust and no one cares.

Which is good, between my 400's dmc, the hmf on my dads friends yfz, and all the piped banshee's. lol.

Also, right down in the field by my house, theres a couple kids i ride with, all with piped predators/z400/yfz plus when i ride with them, its super loud and even on the powerlines by all the houses no one complains.

Gotta love PA rednecks

Posted by: Gibson

here in northwest georgia no one really cares. if there's someplace we want to go riding thats nearby, we hit the road and go ridin, most county cops jus throw their hands up and wave. so really we have nothin to worry about

i really want to live in pa just for that reason it may be alittle boring but with all that riding land u have id be in heaven , but then id have to get my self a more usable quad like a 660 or even 700 raptor so i have overdrive gearing for the roads

If you want to get your quad impounded, go ahead. As much free land we have to ride on, the coppers still don't like us driving on the roads. I still do it, because I only saw one cop my whole life in our little neighborhood. I go down my road, then go to a dirt road and to the side of that dirt road is the kids field. Then theres trails over to powerlines, which have small trail systems on each side of them. (All the powerlines are hills too, not level)

Then across the road from his field, theres a farmer who has another field. We aint allowed to ride on that, but we're allowed to ride in the trails he made.

then the coalmines in central pa, just absolutley amazing. It would take weeks to cover every single trail. All the coalmines are like linked together. ashland, trevorton, shamokin, etc. Silt pits, hills, straighaways, and nice trails as far as the eye can see...

I always said coalmines are my favorite place to ride. cool as hell. especially the hills.

Posted by: Hondamaster5505

oh, on a side note, in the ashland coal region, you CAN ride on the roads..

everyone does it. The police station is the size of a tiny house, and has two cars. lmao. plus, they wave to you if you ride past them.

Its in my area thats a big no no.

Guy ever hear of Hatfield McCoy? One part where you can go on to the trails or go off, there is a town called Logan. Its the coolest freeking town EVER!!!!!!!!

It is 1000% 2-3-4 wheel friendly! You are aloud to go down the roads and theres resturants like subway and you can walk right in with 50lbs of mud hanging off of you. You can ride right up to the gas station and re fuel.. its just awesome. There is a town where we ride down in W.V. like that, but your only aloud on all unmarked roads, but you have to stay to the side of marked ones..

Wow I got us wayyyyyy off topic.. sorry.

its alright. unless more people come in to post their pipes, this thread is probably dead at this point.

In hatfield mccoy, how are the trails? Me and my dad wanted to make a trip there, but the banshee is fine when doing short sections of rocks and stuff. But when all the trails are somewhat rocky or tight, the banshee becomes a pain.

I know my 400 is fine, but for my dad, are they banshee-friendly trails?

Posted by: alex10

How far are those coal mines your talking about from butler PA? Also you ever get lost back there?

There are different types of trails.. the black are the worst with bolders you have to climb going up a side of a mountain.. I would think it would be fine.. There are over 500 miles of trails.. I am thinking there is aleast one place that's "bansee friendly"

it's about 1hr away from us. We don't mind the drive, just have to wake up nice and early and stay till late in the day.

No, we never got lost up there, but it's VERY easy to. It's not like legal trails that are all marked and everything. What we did the first time, is found a local right by the entrance. We asked him to show us around. Now we know a decent amount of the area. Like trails to the abandoned highway, the monster hill climbs, etc. But the place is so enormous, that we still havent seen the half of it.

So, if you plan on going up there, look for someone riding around where you park, and ask them to show you around. After two trips you get to know the place kinda.

Hell, if you ever wanted to go up there, you can shoot me a pm and ill see if we're available.

are you talking about Treverton coal hills? bc we ride up there from time to time and it is insane fun. i love it. and if that is where u are talkin about then it is super easy to get lost or come up on a dead end trail.
