A friend of mines Z400 (which i happen to be looking into buying...) has the apparently typical upper shock mount crack in the 2003 frames going on.

Its a hairline crack that goes nearly all the way around, and i was seeing what could be done about it. My camera just ran out of batteries when i went to go take pictures...figures...so i can have those up later.

I figured it could just be repaired and have a gusset kit installed. I was looking here

Thinking about having repaired/gusseted/powder coated all in one.

Seem like a good deal?

i just had that problem like a week ago! I just took mine to the local welding shop and had um well it up and put make a gusset to put on it and it only cost me 50 bucks so i was pretty happy with that.
but where i saved money with that i blew the clutch outa my truck last night so i'll be spending the money i saved on getting a new clutch
