Hey guys, i was riding this weekend and my R was running fine except it wouldnt idle by its self. Anyway i shut it off after riding for a while and i went back and it wouldnt start. I changed the plug and nothing.... it has gas, the gas valve IS on, idk know what else to check for the CDI is new from last year, maybe the coil or ??? any ideas is great, thanks!

edit** also its feels like the Kick start has no compression...theres some but it doesnt seem like it usually is.

If it feels like there is no compression, check it. Yous hould have a compression tester, and it only takes a few minutes to pull the spark plug and do a compression test.

i dont think i have a tester, i know how to do it but i dont think i have one, if compression is the case, what do i do to fix it and get it back?

Buy a compression tester. It doesn't make any sense to pull the carb and check the reeds(ruining a gasket in the process) when you need to check the compression first. You'll need the tester sooner or later so your better off to buy one now. I have one from Sears, make sure it comes with a short hose as in less than 12" preferrably.

really that isnt a reusable gasket. hows the quality of the sears. compared to a high end snap on.

Cr85rRida what was your price on them bars

Posted by: fireburns99

its like $80 for the motorcylce tester, which comes with all different sizes of ends.

Posted by: Cr85rRida

yikes $80!! i'll ask a friend and see if he has one. what should it be around (the compression)

btw bars 30 shipped

you tell me you can only do paypal 2 weeks after you said you would buy them, if you read the thread over i clearly stated no paypal.

my bad for saying all talk, i didnt mean it in an insulting way, i was just trying to say that you were saying you were gunna buy them but you didnt. I hope you arent offended.
