I gave up with everything electrical when my YFZ's battery died on the starting gate today. After researching about kickers got me more confused tho. Where do you get a kit from? I don't mean the whole GYTR kit, just the crank and stuff needed for that, and I'll be using a 98 YZ250 lever.
Also what do I need to eliminate the battery? That Capacitor kit that Yamaha sells? Or does the harness need to be gutted?

thanks for any help

with my understanding if u have an 06 you need a resistor kit or eles ull fry something if u take the starter out then you need a plug and you can just get a gear kit from yamaha that hass all the gears u might need a hot start lever too the gears are like just under 100 and i think the hot start is like 30

From what I know the 06 already has the resistor installed and I have kick start installed with no battery or anything electrical except the rad fan. I had to buy a capacitor to help the fan run cause if would pull to much voltage away from the coil.
