Im in bad need of some pics of AC Pro-Pegs nerfs (88-89). I really need pics of how its actually mounted to the quad and nerfs and mounts seperate would really help also.
Thanx

whats the problem?
when you mount the a/c peg mounts i know that they neeed to be mounted so they are angled towards the back of the bike.the will need to be pulled forward to reach the motor mounts, i use a ratching tow strap to pull it.

I had a set of mint 86 pro-epgs and I was told all I needed were the 89 mounts and I could use my pro-pegs I already had.
The mounts they sent me are slanted, and not straight. They wont mount up and the mounts holes are all screwed up (not straight, the mounts arent deep enought, and they make the pegs mount really wide out frum the Quad.
Its kinda hard to explain all the problems

i think i know what your sayin?seems like your mounts are defective, ac stuff isnt exactly a perfect fit.
first make sure the slanted part faces the rear of the quad, if the holes dont line up then send them back.

The holes aren't lining up for sure. Lewis at ATV addiction is sending me another pair. Even though this guy backs up his product, I wont buy frum him again. I've bought frum him twice, and both times the order got messed up or the product was crappy (like now).

"AC= Alter and Cut " now thats a new one havent heard it before. 86 and 88 propegs are real simalir in bends. there is about 1/2 inch differance in lenth and 1 inch in width. here is a pic of how the mount goes on.

thanx dude, But ur saying the actual nerfs are different sizes?
Posted by: desertratt45
yes they are. not enough that you couldnt put them on either year. the biggest differance is at the foot peg. there is an inch differance in lenth. you can put a 88- on a 86-87 and not notice except for the space at the bottom. putting a 86-87 on a 88- though will push them out just a bit more. see we make the 88 with a cut and angle so the foot peg will go over the steel peg mount to get as close to inside as possible. that way you dont have your foot landing on the steel mount instead of the foot peg.

Crap, So I guess it would actually be much better to just go ahead and buy a set of 89 pro-pegs then, wouldnt it?
Posted by: QuadRacer041
no dude, they will work. i did it
i had and 86 and got my arens its an 88-89 style and they work.
Posted by: stocktires
I know it'll work, But will the 86 nerfs make the pegs mount out farther away frum the frame?

hmm,,.. i am waiting tor some rt now from atv addiction...
hope he gets it right..
Posted by: QuadRacer041
no it wont make it any further out the the regular 88-89 nerfs.
you are using 88-89 mounts and that is what affects were the pegs are.
