Yes im looking to get a winch and i need one that will not get screwed up when i go in the mud.Since i will get stuck in the deep mud i want it to operate in the mud.Something that will last me a long time.Plus good prices.Thanks

I had a warn 2.5, that got trashed in the mud, upgraded to a 3.0 (supposedly they were sealed better, NOPE, so $520 later in warn winches, i went to Harbor Freight, bought their $80.00 ATV winch, and has been working GREAT for almost two years now. BUT, that's just my two cents. only downfall is the HF winch is 2000, lbs. only.

I had a older style warn 1500 on my 05 big bear and had nothing but problems...but very good service through warn industries(Fixed motor twice and gave me a new cable all for free)

BUT now I put a NEW style warn 2.5 (Im not sure if its the rt or xt) on my 08 rincon and love it....

Well, I'm going to try my luck with a Gorilla winch. It's considerably less money than a Warn, supposedly completely sealed, warranty looks good....I'll give it a shot.
