Does anyone know if a 400ex bar clamp or 450r bar clamp ( 7/8) will fit on my 250? I need the kind with the ignition and indicator holders. I was also looking at like raptors ( 7/8) and stuff wondering if they would work as well? Does any one know?

I'm in the same boat. I'm putting aftermarket handlebars with crossbar on my son's 250EX. I spoke to TrailTech yesterday and they told me the 400EX is the same. So, what I did was puchased the stem cover they have for the 400EX. It has key and both indicator light locations. The only thing is the cover is molded for their bar clamps...so...I'm not entirely sure it will mount right up, even with some trimming.

Another issue is the choke. I'm going to see if I can't remove the cable altogether and just use the lever on the side of the carb.

I have a guy fabing me a custom plate for my ignition, indicators, and choke. Its aslo going to be powdercoated black of some sort. Ill get pics as soon as i get it.

Awesome! I don't think this mount from Trailtech is going to work w/o their mount. And...their mounts only support 1 1/8" bars, which I'm not using. So...likely I'll be sending this thing back.

Do you think your friend would make 1 more?

If so, how much would he charge?
