When i purchased my outlaw last week. The first question i asked was what type of gas should i run in it (knowing the a lot of people run premium or race fuel in their 525s) We told me regular or super. He said you will notice a big difference with super and a lot of people preffer that. I asked if it will hurt the motor he said no. But it will run hotter so i should do a few things to it if i ride for long periods of time.
What about you right now i am running regular until i modify it so it won't overheat.

I would run nothing less than 91 octane in it. I run 91 or 92 in my 525 and get along great. I haven't had any problems with it overheating and I have been riding in 85+ degree weather this summer.

With the stock compression being 10.8:1 all you need to run is 87 octane gasoline.
The higher the octane, the slower it burns.

I see no reason to use the more expensive gas
